Weekly Notes: ESPRIT DIOR AT MoCA SHANGHAI

Il Museo di Arte Contemporanea di Shanghai renderà omaggio con la mostra Esprit Dior all’estro creativo del leggendario couturier francese, artefice di quella rivoluzione fatta di abiti dalla vita sottilissima e ampie gonne ‘a corolla’ che fu ribattezzata dai giornalisti di tutto il mondo come ‘New Look’. Il percorso espositivo - aperto al pubblico dal 13 settembre al 10 novembre 2013 -  sarà articolato in varie tappe tematiche e ospiterà oltre ai pezzi iconici dello stilista anche alcune opere realizzate da artisti cinesi e le immagini scattate dal celebre fotografo di moda Patrick Demarchelier.

From September Shanghai's Museum of Contemporary Art will celebrate Christian Dior with ‘Esprit Dior’ exhibition presenting  the iconic pieces from his collections. Divided into different themes, the exhibition will include artworks by Chinese artists and shoots by legendary fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier.

La regina del pop si è affidata a Inez van Lamsweerde e Vinoodh Matadin per la cover del nuovo singolo ‘Applause’ in uscita il 19 Agosto, in cui appare con un soprabito di Gareth Pugh e un makeup a dir poco singolare. Il duo di fotografi oltre ad aver già collaborato con la popstar, è noto al pubblico per i ritratti di Bjork e per le campagne pubblicitarie di maison come Balenciaga, Givenchy, Lanvin, Chloé e Gucci.

Lady Gaga has chosen Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin for the cover of her new single‘Applause’ that will drop on August 19th. The shoot sees the singer with a face full of smudged make-up, wearing a Gareth Pugh coat. Photogrphy duo is known for his portraits of Bjork and advertising campaigns for Balenciaga, Givenchy, Lanvin, Chloé, Gucci and many others.

Weekly Notes: GIORGIO ARMANI GOES HOLLYWOOD

Giorgio Armani è approdato ad Hollywood per un nuovo, inedito progetto:  il poliedrico designer ha infatti ricevuto l’incarico di realizzare il set cinematografico del thriller Paranoia diretto da Robert Luketic uscito nelle sale statunitensi il 16 Agosto 2013. Re Giorgio si è occupato della progettazione degli interni e della scelta degli arredi, tutti ovviamente firmati Armani Casa.
