Lusingata dal fatto che siete davvero in tanti a chiedermi consigli su come scegliere e abbinare capi e colori, ho deciso di dedicare un po' di spazio, qui all'interno di très (très) Chic, anche a voi maschietti. Premetto che la moda uomo non è il campo che prediligo, ma cercherò di approfondire quest'ambito in modo da darvi spunti e suggerimenti adatti a migliorare il vostro look, rendendolo personale e unico. Vestirsi bene per un uomo può sembrare infatti apparentemente più facile che per una donna, vista la scelta limitata di capi e accessori. In realtà, proprio per questo è necessario conoscere regole e accorgimenti che vi facciano sembrare perfetti. Eccone alcuni:

By popular demand I have decided to include in this blog a new topic: Menswear. In fact, many guys ask me how to choose and match clothes and colors. This is not my favourite topic, but I'll try to give you the right advice about how to improve your style. Dressing well for a men seems easier than for a woman, because of the limited choice of clothing and accessories. But this is the reason that it needs to know the rules and tricks to look fabulous. Some of these:

• Innanzitutto, è importante sentirsi a proprio agio con ciò che si indossa. Ognuno ha il proprio stile: c'è chi predilige capi classici e sobri, chi preferice uno stile più casual e informale, chi è molto attento ai nuovi trend, chi ama l'eccentricità. / First, it is important to feel comfortable with what you are wearing. Everyone has their own style: someone prefers classic items, someone wants a casual look, others follow or love the eccentricy.

• Qualunque sia il genere di abbigliamento a voi più congeniale, dovete sempre cercare di esaltare i pregi e nascondere i difetti . E' decisamente meglio scegliere un capo meno di tendenza, se quest'ultimo mette in risalto la vostra pancetta (e comunque, a mio parere, è preferibile evitare capi troppo attillati). / Whatever is your style, it's important to bring out strengths and hide defects. It's better to choose not trendy clothes, if it shows your belly!

• Evitate di indossare insieme più di tre colori diversi. / Don't mix more than three colors.
  

• Se amate indossare la giacca, assicuratevi che sia ben tagliata. "Una volta scelta una buona giacca, il resto viene da sè." (Giorgio Armani) / If you love wearing jacket, make sure that it's a well-tailored jacket. Giorgio Armani says: "Wearing a good jacket, much has already done."

• Indossate pantaloni senza pinces e dal taglio dritto, e in caso di indecisione mettete i jeans (si abbinano sempre con tutto!). / It's better to wear pants without pleats and straight cut, and if you're in doubt, you can wear just a pair of jeans (jeans go with everything!).

• Le calze devono essere rigorosamente scure e lunghe al ginocchio. / The socks have to be dark colored and long knee.

• Non lesinate sulle scarpe, sono alla base del guardaroba. Anche in questo caso, andando sullo scuro non si sbaglia mai. / Don't save on shoes, are wardrobe essentials. Again, you don't make mistakes if you choose dark colors.

COATS selection

Anche se le temperature dei giorni scorsi ci hanno permesso di assaporare gli ultimi scampoli d'estate (almeno qui al Sud), adesso è arrivato il momento di archiviare gli abitini leggeri e gli accessori che abbiamo sfoggiato durante la bella stagione, per fare spazio a capi spalla, cardigan, sciarpe e tutto l'occorrente per affrontare l'inverno con stile. E iniziamo subito con uno dei capi base del guardaroba femminile e non solo: il cappotto. Per questo A/I gli stilisti si sono sbizzarriti con forme e colori. Ce n'è davvero per tutti i gusti: lunghi, corti, mono o doppio petto, con bottoni o zip, con inserti in pelliccia, dai toni più classici, come il grigio e il cammello, fino ai vitaminici arancio e rosso (ma anche viola, turchese, senape).

Let's start by considering one of  Must-Have basic wardrobe pieces for any woman: coat.
